Been There Done That

I've finally done it! I completed my 1st conference presenation/workshop. 90 minutes of PowerPoint, lecture, question and answers...graphs, charts, statistics, and the like. We scored approximately 4 out of 5 with 5 being the highest. I saw more 3's and 4's than I did 4's and 5's. I realize I'm an ameture and I have to grow but I would liked to have been a little bit more on the great side than not. I would like to have been more valuable. If it was a 3 or 4 I don't feel I added any value to the presentation and my audience left without any new material. Conferences are not just time away from the office, but they are an opportunity to grow and develop new ideas and ways of doing things that will make your company better and your clients/customers more successful.
If I could post an attachment for you I would, but I dont see that option on blogger. The good thing is, my past is behind me. Good or bad, I can add it to my resume as conducting a workshop on the effects mental illness plays on our welfare clients and their ability to achieve success in the job field based on the demands and restraints of federal guidelines work first approach.

SLEEPY AND HORNY

IT IS DAY 18 ON MY 40 DAY FAST. I'M NOT EVEN HALFWAY THERE. WHAT I REALIZED IS THAT I AM ONLY DOING PARTIALLY WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO DO AND THAT'S EATING AND COMMUNING WITH GOD. IT IS HARD ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO EAT AND NOT EAT. I HAVEN'T BEEN FOCUSING ON THE COMMUNICATION PART AS MUCH. I STARTED OUT READING DANIEL AND TRYING TO GRASP AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE SCRIPTURE. THAT LASTED UNTIL ABOUT CHAPTER 9. THERE ARE ONLY 12 CHAPTERS. BUT YOU KNOW ME, I HAD TO GET A COMPANION GUIDE TO HELP ME GET MORE MEANING OUT OF MY READING. THAT HAS SLOWED IT UP A BIT. THIS IS THE BOOK I CHOSE: HOLMAN OLD TESTAMENT COMMENTARY: DANIEL.

THIS COMMENTARY GIVES A BRIEF CHARACTER BACKGROUND, HISTORY, TALKING POINTS, AND SUMMARIZATION AS WELL AS STAR POINTS..WHAT YOU SHOULD GET OUT OF THE CHAPTER OR VERSES. IT'S A REALLY GOOD COMPANION TOOL FOR BIBLE STUDY.

NOW TO THE POINT OF MY TITLE. I AM SLEEPY AND HORNY BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN UP PAST 2AM FOR THE LAST WEEK OR SO TRYING TO WORK ON SEVERAL THINGS AND FEELING LIKE I'M GETTING NOTHING DONE. I'M ALSO HORNY CUZ I HAVE NOT HAD ANY IN FOREVER!

I'M ASSUMING THIS IS THE POINT I AM SUPPOSE TO BE IN DEEP PRAYER. THE PROBLEM IS I DO NOT HAVE TIME LOL! I'M SO BUSY TRYING TO STAY BUSY I HAVE NOT SET ASIDE TIME TO BE WITH GOD. LORD HELP.

My Pants Are Too Big!

My beloved brown slacks are literally falling off of me today. I think I bought them too big to begin with because I dont like my clothes fitting me so close. They are a size 16 from Ashley Stewart. Looks like I might need a 14 :-)

When I shope at target I have to get a size 18. At TJMaxx I'm in 16. So, it's definitely all about where you purchase your clothes. While I may wear a 14 from Ashley stewart, it's a women's 14 I think which in actuality is a 16 in Misses. Hmmm

Either I can continue to make myself think I need Ashley Stewarts and can't really shop anywhere else or I can be real and buy clothes that fit me from Macey's, Dillards, and JcPenny's.

I'm not much into shopping because I have to try on everthing first and see how it looks. I can no longer pull a size 10 or 12 off the rack and head straight to the counter.
Being that I'm single and growing in my career I think it's time to put that in check and figure this shopping thing out.

Family Night

Tonight is Family Night at my church. We have 2 locations and 4 church services. Family Night is where all locations and services come together to fellowship, take communion, baby dedications and we have baptisms. I am my only family here so it's not as heartfelt warming to me but I go anyway because its part of my worship experience.

This month's family night service has an added special touch because March is Singles Month. The Singles Ministry is in charge of creating events and networking opportunites for the singles in the church. This sunday singles are asked to wear purple and black to family night service and a socail networking meeting will be held after service. This should be interested.

This is the 1st time they have tried something like this and I am really intrigued by the creativeness of this years singles ministry.
