Thought for the day

Time and Chance are the best opportunities for success. Success only comes after trails of failures and frustration.  Success is an equal opportunist yet it only goes to the one who continually strives to meet it's mandates.

Today is one of those times when Time and Chance are knocking on my door.  I have the greatest opportunity to turn in the most brilliant report possible that will affect thousands of clients and employers in the years to come.  It is up to me to bring the best and brightest recommendations, best practices and optimal feedback persona possible to the table in the most professional and technically savvy way I know how.

I have the ability to influence executive decisions on a state-wide level. Now is the time to refine those writing skills and make my profession proud.  Social Workers are most known for the clinical and bleeding heart services they provide to those living in low socioeconomic status.  What the world does not quit recognize yet is the macro-side of the profession.

I have taken it upon myself to help improve this stereotype.  Research, advocacy, and community building are just as important as the clinical practitioners perspective.  Research builds credibility and provides numeric proof that what we are doing to best service society is based not on subjective theory but on longitudinal, administrative, and contextual research studies which define our theoretical framework of practice.  With both quantitative and qualitative representation to support advocacy, policy development and community organization, Social Work is a prized profession for the better good of mankind.
