Life can be a Pressure Cooker

Life can be a pressure cooker when debt is abound and it seems like there's no way out. Be patient, do what you can, and sooner or later the top will come off, the valves will be released. All will be well again. Keep your cool in the pressure.

Are we praying in expectancy? Have your prayers been answered yet we failed to receive the answer

Sometimes we get caught up in praying and waiting that we forget to expect God to move. The reasons why we forget to expect God to move is because:

1. we have a lack of expectation due to past experiences. We inherently think that because God didn't answer us before, so we think, he's not going to answer us this time. That's just not true. Our past experiences or failures do not determine or dictate God's present or future course of action.

Many of the most difficult things that hinder our forward movement in life, are not the things that lay ahead of us, but those things that are behind us that distract us from what is happening in our lives now. We must expect got to answer our prayers and be on the look out for its manifestation in our lives, regardless of what happened yesterday. Hebrews 11:6 says that he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

2. We have religious-ized prayer down to just something we have to do and an activity in saying we are a Christian. We lose sight of the fact that we are not calling on some mere human to answer our prayers, but the one and only omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent God who is also our Father in heaven, hears all, sees all, and can do all. We fail to think that we are important to Him. We fail to see that he has ears and eyes for us no matter what the predicament.

If what we seek and believe Him for lines up with his Word then our situation has to line up with that truth. The situation is ever changing but the Word is not. When we decide to believe the Word over the situation then we will receive the manifestation of our prayers. The ones we pray for in expectancy of course. Prayer is not some religious activity but relational communication with God, one on one, just you and Him.

3. We feel that we are undeserving of an answer. We have feelings of in inadequacy or reprehension. We feel that we have not toiled, labored, or suffered enough to have earned an answer from God. There is something we did not do or we have not upheld our end of the bargain and therefore God will not answer me. I am undeserving of this response so I will not ask, I will not expect an answer, I will not seek. I will wait until I have gotten it all together before I go to him in prayer for what it is I am really truly seeking.

Matthew 7:11 says that If you, then, though you are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him! We are not slaves. We are his children, his daughters. He loves us and enjoys giving and providing for us. Just as children do wrong, their parents punish them, yet they never stop taking care of them and providing for them, so does God for us. It's okay to ask, seek, knock, and expect. He's there willing, able, and waiting.

And if you look around and see with your spiritual eyes God has already answered many of your prayers, you just haven't opened the door and received it.

SLEEPY AND HORNY

IT IS DAY 18 ON MY 40 DAY FAST. I'M NOT EVEN HALFWAY THERE. WHAT I REALIZED IS THAT I AM ONLY DOING PARTIALLY WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO DO AND THAT'S EATING AND COMMUNING WITH GOD. IT IS HARD ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO EAT AND NOT EAT. I HAVEN'T BEEN FOCUSING ON THE COMMUNICATION PART AS MUCH. I STARTED OUT READING DANIEL AND TRYING TO GRASP AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE SCRIPTURE. THAT LASTED UNTIL ABOUT CHAPTER 9. THERE ARE ONLY 12 CHAPTERS. BUT YOU KNOW ME, I HAD TO GET A COMPANION GUIDE TO HELP ME GET MORE MEANING OUT OF MY READING. THAT HAS SLOWED IT UP A BIT. THIS IS THE BOOK I CHOSE: HOLMAN OLD TESTAMENT COMMENTARY: DANIEL.
THIS COMMENTARY GIVES A BRIEF CHARACTER BACKGROUND, HISTORY, TALKING POINTS, AND SUMMARIZATION AS WELL AS STAR POINTS..WHAT YOU SHOULD GET OUT OF THE CHAPTER OR VERSES. IT'S A REALLY GOOD COMPANION TOOL FOR BIBLE STUDY.
NOW TO THE POINT OF MY TITLE. I AM SLEEPY AND HORNY BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN UP PAST 2AM FOR THE LAST WEEK OR SO TRYING TO WORK ON SEVERAL THINGS AND FEELING LIKE I'M GETTING NOTHING DONE. I'M ALSO HORNY CUZ I HAVE NOT HAD ANY IN FOREVER!
I'M ASSUMING THIS IS THE POINT I AM SUPPOSE TO BE IN DEEP PRAYER. THE PROBLEM IS I DO NOT HAVE TIME LOL! I'M SO BUSY TRYING TO STAY BUSY I HAVE NOT SET ASIDE TIME TO BE WITH GOD. LORD HELP.
I PROMISE TO START TODAY.

Marriage...DONT DO IT GIRL! unless he's heaven sent

Words from Pastor Jamal Harrison-Bryant:
I often warn women who are contemplating marriage to marry someone who can take care of them. When a woman marries, it ought to be to someone who is capable of taking her to the next level. If she comes from poverty, there is no reason for her to get married and still be impoverished. The role of the man is to take her to another place.
When she gets married, she ought to dress better, drive better, live better, and eat better, not constantly be in a struggle over where her next meal is coming from. My grandmother used to say, 'I can do bad all by myself.

For a woman desiring a mate, the objective, of course, would be to find a Christian man, who's settled, has goals, accomplishments and a job. But a goal-oriented and focused man can't just be approached any kind of way.

So the woman who seeks this type of stability must make sure that he stands out above the crowd:
  • Make sure your relationship with the Lord is strong and growing.
  • Make sure that you are presentable. Working from the inside out, your presentation should be representative of both who you are and whom you seek. Appearance is a reflection of how you see yourself.
  • Have the ability to hold an intelligent conversation.
  • And most importantly, allow the Holy Ghost to take control. You don't need to go after him. He's going to come after you, because after he sees and smells you and knows that you're in his presence, he's going to want to know who you are!

I know there's somebody reading this who has been chasing after the 'man of your dreams,' but God says, 'Just sit still and allow patience to have her perfect work through Me. '

Furthermore, it's never a good idea to be too forward and too aggressive. Attempting to win a man's affection by jumping into bed with him will only backfire and cause him to lose interest in ever developing a lasting relationship. It causes him to lose respect for you and question your character.

However, if he sees that you are dressed with quality, that you smell like you are somebody, that you look like you're doing fine without him, then that will attract the right attention from him. He'll have no choice but to give you his attention. Stop looking so needy, climbing into bed, trying in vain to capture a man's heart.God woke me up in the middle of the night and said, 'The same thing that Naomi told Ruth to do is the same thing that I want them to do for me.'

God is so sick of saints coming to Him trying to get a quickie and never romancing Him for Who he is - going to church screaming, shouting and hollering, but hadn't been intimate with God all week long! Stop trying to treat God like a sugar daddy and start romancing Him with worship and praise: 'I'm yours Lord...everything I've got...everything I'm not!'

The God we serve, which is the God of love, demands and requires of us foreplay before He gives us what we need. In the book of Ruth, the mother-in-law tells Ruth, 'You have to wash.' John 15:3 reminds us, Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. When you sit in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you are taking a shower. When you hear the unadulterated Word of God, then the dirt and grime that you've accumulated all week long begins to wash off of you.

Ask God to 'create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit.' Stand in the word. Then wait upon the Lord to renew your strength. Pass this on to those who have found or are seeking Mr. Right. This message is not directed at the receiver, it is directed to women I know that touch other young women that can benefit from this information. We are to be Naomi's of the world today. Our young women need to be informed of how to catch and keep a man that will respect .
